PROJECT
Currently, conservation units – parks and reserves – are one of the main biodiversity conservation strategies, as they are able to fully protect different ecosystems and species.
Through the Simbora Pro Parque Project, IMD promotes guided tours to Brazilian conservation units, which explore the potential for pedagogical use of these areas as interpretive trails and dynamic activities in a relaxed and fun environment.

In addition to the parks, some programs include visits to conservation and sustainable development projects within areas of influence of the conservation units, to value their work and show the viability and interaction of the conservation units with the surrounding community.
Simbora Pro Parque promotes transformative experiences for participants in order to stimulate connection with nature and its appreciation.

Through the Simbora Científico project , the IMD also promotes research expeditions with the participation of people who contribute to the cost and help in the fieldwork. Scientific tourism promotes incredible experiences in contact with nature and, at the same time, makes scientific research possible by providing an alternative source of capture.
